Born in the Congo and educated in Paris and Tokyo, Yann received a bachelor’s degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, a master’s degree of art from Paris university IV, and a master’s of architecture from the venerable Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. After graduating, he then moved to the United States and rapidly established his reputation as an Architect in both the New York City and global arenas. He has won numerous competitions and exhibited in a number of international venues. Yann travels the globe extensively for business and pleasure. His passion and respect for the unique culture of each project location, coupled with the blending of his classical European architectural training and dedication to contemporary forms have become the trademarks of his design methodology and philosophy.

Over the course of his career, Yann has delivered the plans and design of over 20,000 hotel rooms including the Bangkok St. Regis (250 keys), the Yalong Bay St. Regis (400 keys), the Pattaya Grand Mirage (600 keys), the Bangkok Centara Grand at Central World (500 keys), the Sofitel New York (400 keys), and the Sofitel Philadelphia (400 keys), establishing him firmly as one of the leading experts on hospitality design
